Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa. It shares borders with six other countries including Niger, Mali, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, and Benin. Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world with a largely agricultural economy. Despite the challenges, Burkina Faso is working towards economic development through programs such as microfinance and ecotourism.
