The country is also known for its festivals such as FESPACO, which is a biennial event showcasing African cinema. Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world with a largely agricultural economy. Despite the challenges, Burkina Faso is working towards economic development through programs such as microfinance and ecotourism.
