About the author

Isabelle McCoy has 33 years of experience teaching grades 4-8. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in education. Isabelle taught at the elementary level for 22 years and has taught middle school for the last 11 years. She earned a Teacher of the Year award in 1994 and 2004. Most recently, Isabelle has taught social studies and served as a Social Studies Department Chairperson. She has co-authored 19 books with Dr. Graham.

Dr. Leland Graham is a former middle and high school teacher, middle school principal, and college English professor. He holds a Ph.D. in school administration. During his teaching career, he was twice voted Outstanding Teacher of the Year. Currently working in the school supply market, Dr. Graham presents regularly at educational workshops throughout the United States. Dr. Graham has authored more than 74 books.
