Super Cute Book About Wearing Masks I love the illustrations in this book. I think they are the book’s strongest point. The version of Santa Claus here shows his elvish nature rather than the typical Coca-Cola image that has become such a part of Christmas imagery. The reindeer and a snowman are well drawn, too. In the story, Santa and even the reindeer wear masks as they deliver presents, and Santa lowers presents into homes instead of going down the chimney so he can keep a proper distance. Before returning to the North Pole, he runs into a snowman—only built the day previously—who questions Santa about the masks... and then receives ones as a gift from Santa. Compared to many children’s books on the topic of mask-wearing these days, this one isn't as preachy. Because of that and the fun and whimsical illustration, I think this is a great book to start or continue the discussion about masks and social distancing. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
