This was an enjoyable book to read. I love history but apparently I know few details of this period in the worlds conflicts. Very informative and fun.

J. Christopher Herold served as an editor at Stanford University Press and Columbia University Press. He was the author of numerous books, including Mistress to an Age: A Life of Madame de Stael, which won the National Book Award in 1959.
