Er tippte an seinen Hutrand. "Kann ich Ihnen helfen, Miss?"
"Ich bin Celia Castro", erklärte sie. Plötzlich reckte sie ihren Mund an sein Ohr. "Ich hab für uns ein Zimmer gebucht. Für eine Stunde. Verlieren wir keine Zeit, Señor."
Lassiter verzog keine Miene. "Ihr Angebot ehrt mich, Miss", erwiderte er. "Aber ich fürchte, ich muss Sie enttäuschen. Ich sehe Sie zum ersten Mal. Ein wenig früh für einen Ritt auf dem Strohsack. Meinen Sie nicht auch?"
Sie schüttelte den Kopf. "Nein, Señor."
