Atlanta. Cosmopolitan hub of the southeast.

And of the land’s largest Crossrealm District.

The CRD insists on one law above others. Behave yourself.

So avoid crossing the line.

Or someone might just summon…

The Stinkers

An excerpt from The Stinkers:

Judge Jones (easier to pronounce for mortals than Pennaeth Mynyddanferth), for all his ten feet of horned horror, was a true softie, although he did insist on his own particular brand of justice. The Powers, that mysterious board of directors for human/supernatural relations, did not allow death, dismemberment, or permanent disfigurement as punishments in the Unseemly Court, the arbiter of bother, both mortal and im-.

No, the bastion of Crossrealm law and order could only embarrass, inconvenience, or otherwise make life a living hell for lawbreakers. And even though hell tended to be pretty specific to the individual, some penalties crossed almost every boundary.

About the author

Jason A. Adams writes across the spectrum. His stories include science fiction, fantasy, horror, Appalachian folk tales, westerns, and romance.

Jason’s stories also appear in several issues of Pulphouse Magazine, Mystery, Crime, and Mayhem, Uncollected Anthology, Thrill Ride, and WMG Publishing’s Holiday Spectaculars.

Jason, a recovering Air Force brat who grew up all over the US and Japan, now perches in the mountains of Southwest Virginia with his beautiful wife Kari Kilgore (www.karikilgore.com), several spoiled-rotten house critters, and assorted wild visitors from the nearby forest.
