Jason Nicholas Moore was born in 1960 in Ft. Sam Houston, an Army base in San Antonio, Texas. I attended the University of Texas, where I graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Sciences. For the next 22 years I worked various jobs, mainly as a legal assistant or as a computer analyst. In the last few years I have finally be able to realise my life-long dream of becoming an author. I chose to concentrate on Soviet aviation of the Second World War because I find Soviet aircraft to be fascinating, and the Eastern Front to be not only historically important, but fascinating as well. 'Il-2 Shturmovik: Red Avenger' is my first book through a publisher, Fonthill Media of the United Kingdom, but not my first book, as I have a self-published anthology, 'Alien Skies', available on other outlets. This anthology is composed of science-fiction and horror short stories, science-fiction and horror also being great interests of mine. My hobbies, other than writing (which I still consider to be a hobby, albeit a paying one, the best kind), include creating 3-D art and building plastic aeroplane models. For the future, I have several more Soviet aviation books that will be published through Fonthill Media.
