Once again Ms Faye delights us with her stories. This one gives us the magic of Christmas. Serena Winston , a Hollywood star and daughter of famous people, has left the USA to regroup in Austria. She needs a break from the paparazzi and her ex-boyfriend. A man that abused her trust. She meets Jackson Bennett, a widower and the morning TV show anchor , when his car drives off the road trying to avoid her dog Gizmo. She rescues him and takes him back to her cabin. Since he doesn’t recognize her, she doesn’t reveal her identity. As the story progresses , so does their relationship. Both have trust issues, and Jackson is still in love with his wife. Will they be able to find their HEA or will lack of trust and past heartbreaks keep them apart? In addition to the main plot, the author highlights the fact that what we experience as children and how our parents treated us, will follow you into adulthood. Also, that Christmas is a time of renewal , hope and maybe new love. Another enchanting and heartwarming story by this talented author. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is a great read with some fantastic characters and an interesting storyline. Perfect for a lazy snowbound afternoon read. Serena Winston is tired of living her life in the public eye. That's why she's decided to hole up in a cabin in the mountains of Austria. She can't believe it when her little pup causes an accident that involves one of the US's most well known TV reporters, Jackson Bennett, and now they are stuck in her cabin together! Will this be the end of her seclusion or will he out her at the first opportunity? This is definitely a book I recommend.

Serena Winston, Hollywood movie star, is escaping from the limelight in Austria; she has always wanted to learn to ski, and she rented a chalet in the Alps. She is walking her dog Gizmo, when he suddenly frees himself from his leash. A snowstorm is under way, and as Serena starts looking for her puppy, she hears a crash. She hurries to the scene; no dog, but a man needs rescuing before his car blows up. Then Serena recognises him: Jackson Bennett, the famous morning news anchorman; precisely what she was running from. Although Jackson thinks she looks somewhat familiar, he doesn’t recognise Serena, who tells him her name is Mae – which is really Serena’s middle name. However, before long Jackson has figured out who his Good Samaritan really is… I thought the role reversal was so very clever! It’s Jackson who hurts his ankle and Serena who rescues him, this among other fun things. Jackson has been widowed for two years, he still loves his wife, and he doubts he can love so soon, or even ever again. Jennifer Faye has a knack for crystal clear descriptions, and SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS reads like a movie; Serena moves about a lot, Gizmo is always up to some mischief, and I could picture Jackson limp his way through the chalet. There was a misunderstanding, and it was dealt with speedily, without any unpleasantness; Serena and Jackson behave like rational adults, and they are both very appealing characters. SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS is a charming, enjoyable and very quick read; it is a good old-fashioned Christmas romance, and it’s perfect to relax during the holidays, or any time when a little Christmas cheer is in order. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
