The recipes within this e-book took me forever to put together, I had to incorporate my experiences, my love of Indonesian food, on and off diet foods and skills from my childhood kitchen memories, up to my adulthood today. I am half Indonesian (from my mother) and half European, I spent my childhood years living in Jakarta Indonesia and two years in Singapore, I would dine and eat at the side streets vendors of Jakarta and food courts of Singapore, also top 5 stars restaurants. I then spent majority of my adult years in Europe and now living in Canada.
I have experience working in a busy kitchen, in a Japanese Sushi restaurant, mainly responsible for the starters and desserts, and I also worked as a solo cook at a child care facility, feeding 60 children was not easy. Children are fussy eaters, the most honest critics, and I got accustomed to incorporating healthy eating as paramount when designing their menus and shopping list.
