Hallie and Gavin’s story in Good Twin Gone Country by Jessica Lemmon, book four in the Beaumont Bay series, is an emotional, steamy, and enjoyable tale. Hallie Banks is tired of being the good twin, alone, living in her superstar sister’s shadow. It’s time for her to shake things up and get out of her comfort zone. Not able to do this on her own, she needs a teacher, maybe even a bad boy to show her how to loosen up and have fun. Gavin Sutherland is more than happy to sign up for this job. It doesn’t take long before Hallie is enjoying the time she spends with Gavin; especially the sizzle, magnetism, and fireworks his touch inspires. Only, Hallie soon learns that there are unexpected consequences for living and enjoying the life she always wanted. Ms. Lemmon wrote an emotional and steamy romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, revealing conversations, and charming characters giving Hallie and Gavin a chance at love and a future neither expected.. I highly recommend Good Twin Gone Country to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

"I was convinced loving someone meant missing out on life. You taught me being in love made life better." This was a sweet, loving, fun, sometimes-steamy read, and a definite page-turner, with that forever ending you know you need! It's the story of a woman who needs to open up and break some rules, and the guy who chooses to help her do it, breaking his most important one: don't fall in love. I didn't feel a full connection to Hallie. I get it that she feels like she blends in and cannot stand out, that there's more to life, and that she should be living it. I think it may have been too much for me, though, because at times she sounds kind of childish, and I didn't really feel her love for Gavin as I felt his for her. Gavin. He's pretty much dreamy, trying to remain unattached while also paying attention to the smallest details. He's also honest, and I love that. He's been nothing but honest to Hallie, while helping her break out of her shell. He's also been honest about wanting her physically, but maybe he’s not being very honest with himself about what he wants deep down. Once these two finally get together, however, all bets are off. I loved them together. From the small stuff Gavin dared her to do to break the rules she imposed on herself, to her giving as good as she got, these two were both sweet and steamy, and definitely worthy of some awww moments. All in all, for me this book was about finding the right person. The one who helps you break all the rules, but also the one who accepts you for who you are. The one you can be yourself with, regardless of whether you're the quiet one just blending in, or the one jumping into a freezing lake just because you want to. A book about the one you can come home to, and build a home with.

I usually really enjoy Jessica Lemmon’s books, but while “Good Twin Gone Country” was a perfectly fine romance, I’m sorry to say that it didn’t rate very high on my list. The book is part of a Harlequin series, and I suppose that may have had something to do with it. I I’m not a big fan of the general tone of those books. It just felt a little too pat and didn’t grab my attention all that much. I’m also not a huge fan of surprise pregnancy stories, so perhaps that had something to do with it. All in all, it was well written and an okay read, but I much prefer Ms. Lemmon’s other titles, including the Real Love, Blue Collar Billionaires and Billionaire Bad Boys series.
