About this ebook

Part of the bestselling Reeds Skipper's Handbook series, this handy pocket guide presents the most useful knots and splices for onboard (and dockside) use. Each knot will have a double page spread with step by step photos plus a tying diagram, accompanied by carefully explained instructions on how to tie the knot plus its most appropriate uses (for example - is it strong enough not to stretch or slip? Will it untie quickly in an emergency? Can it be tied with all thicknesses and types of rope?)

All boaters need a repertoire of reliable knots they can use almost without thinking about them - this book will act as a quick aide memoire, as well as providing novices with all the steps they need to master the most useful knots they will need on a regular basis when going to sea.
