Midnight and Malice: Welcome to Kissing Springs: Midnight Season

Midnight and Malice is part of the multi-authored, Welcome to Kissing Springs: Midnight Season series. It's a steamy, age-gap, slow-burn, slightly forbidden girl gets her brother's best friend romance. Tara is a 911 dispatcher in Kissing Springs. She is upset as she failed her exam for drone usage in investigations. Levi is a hunky fire investigator, her older brother's former best friend, and her childhood crush. When he moves back to Kissing Springs with his fiancée, he never expects to work with Tara. But they both have a lot of baggage, and their situation is complicated. As they work together during a fire investigation, the chemistry intensifies. Will they resist or give in? This was a great read with lots of drama, hot chemistry, some angst, and a happy ending. Out of the many FMC's I've read in the different books, Tara has been one of my absolute favorites. This was such a delightful and entertaining story. I especially loved the brother's best friend troupe in the story. This story had me entertained from beginning to end. I also loved how quick of a read it was, as well as how the characters were so relatable. I am definitely looking for the next book from this author.
