Serveur en extra dans les soirées mondaines, il est aussi et surtout Le Gecko, un cambrioleur de haut vol doté des mêmes pouvoirs que l'animal. Car, bien que le concept n'ait pas encore été inventé, Albert Trebla est un mutant. Un soir, Albert décide de «visiter» la propriété de Linas, un riche collectionneur d'art primitif. Mais ce dernier, dont l'odorat de prédateur est extrêmement développé repère Albert qui ne doit alors son salut qu'à l'arrivée inopinée de Ricky, un autre voleur ayant le pouvoir de se téléporter.
