Ma strani eventi ne intralciano il cammino. Avvincente e fantastico, secondo la migliore tradizione narrativa di Jules Verne, questo gioiello imperdibile aggiunge fra gli altri ingredienti anche una ambientazione suggestiva, onirica, quella delle avventurose esplorazioni in luoghi esotici alla fine dell’Ottocento. Questo romanzo ha ispirato il film Sahara, con Penelope Cruz.
