This has to be one of my favorite Julie Klassen novels. Along with the storyline, the vast array of characters she created for this story are exceptional and memorable. I loved how the story unfolded, past was revealed and secrets within the plot unveiled. I was a little disappointed. It seems every story Julie writes is about a fallen woman, making her own way in the world, being pursued by 2 different men. This story line was the same. Although it was a cute read, its getting a little old. I would like to see Julie step out of her comfort zone and write something different.

Julie Klassen is such a great storyteller. This book begins slow, but it picks up. Fun adventure, wonderful characters, and sweet romance. Definitely caught the Mansfield Park nod...one of my most favorite books ever!!! Highly recommend this novel, especially if you love any Austen or Bronte novel.
