Cooper and Riley certainly have an edge at being the new Mustang Mountain couple. He has returned to town after time in prison. Townsfolk are not forgiving despite prison being his punishment for defending Riley against an assault. Riley is his son's ex girlfriend and her being much younger is an itch hasn't scratched but wanted to. She is also determined to prove he is a good man and equally determined to pursue him, despite his son lurking in the background. No Ruby needed this time.

If you enjoy a little bit of drama with your instalove, then Kaci has you covered. Cooper is an ex-con wanting to redeem himself for his past actions (although there's one he doesn't regret, despite being put away for 4 years) and that's protecting Riley. And while he should keep his distance from her, being she's his sons ex girlfriend. The connection between them is strong and once Riley kisses him all bets are off he's going after what he wants, and Riley is more than a willing participant.

I found this story a bit convoluted and confusing. Cooper is returning to Mustang Mountain after years in prison. He’s to open a gym for disadvantaged youth. Riley is his son’s ex girlfriend but has loved Cooper forever. Trouble seems to follow Cooper wherever he goes and he wonders if the town will ever accept him. This one was just an okay read for me. Sweet and steamy of course but just seemed all over the place especially the background story of Cooper, Riley and Coopers son.
