5 Star Review Kate’s Secret (Bluegrass Spirits #2) by Kallypso Masters The second book in this exciting new series from Kallypso Masters and another awesome read. This is Kate Michaels and Travis Cooper’s story; a second chance at love and one I thoroughly enjoyed. When a dream that includes a “visit” from a recently deceased army buddy pushes Travis to seek out the one woman who he has always loved, he is in for the shock of his life. Kallypso Masters weaves a tale of regret and what if’s, forgiveness and acceptance and does it wonderfully. Ms. Masters description of rural Kentucky was so amazing that I felt at times I was actually there. Kate has always regretted the secret she kept from Travis and is terrified when he suddenly re enters her life? What will happen when the truth is revealed. Can he forgive her? The meddling spirits in this book are Travis’s army buddy Danny and Kate’s father. They certainly provide some comic moments throughout the book and I was excited to learn that Danny’s story will be the next book in the Bluegrass Spirits series. I enjoy Ms. Masters writing style, the depth that she puts into her characters, both main and secondary is amazing and these characters were no different. I will be honest and admit that I would not be as forgiving as Travis, even though Kate felt she was doing the right thing and her intentions were good. Kate’s Secret is an emotional read and at times heart wrenching but through it all is the undeniable strength of love and family. Congratulations Ms.Masters this is a great addition to your Contemporary Romance series and I cannot wait to read more in this series.

This was a refreshing story! Kate and Travis seemed to be operating on different planes for almost all of their relationship, but one thing was clear, they couldn’t deny they had a connection. I simply loved the paranormal aspects of the story, and having it as part of the story, not as an extra or add-on. Lots of attraction, heaps of forgiveness, and a strong message of living in the now, not dwelling on the past, made this a great read <3
