About this ebook

What happens when a cougar’s fated mate is an undercover agent infiltrating the same human trafficking organization he’s rescuing kidnapped shifter children from?

Living a simple life in Broken Falls, I routinely take on missions with my old team, SpecOps Sierra - a shifter Special Forces unit. I love it. It pays better as a civilian contractor, and I get to do all the cool sht I used to do like breaking in doors, fighting bad guys, and removing scum bags from the earth.

But when I report for duty and run into my a-shole twin brother whom I haven’t seen in eight years, it’s not the bad guys I’m fighting.

There is too much bad blood between us, and I’m supposed to accept him as my commanding officer?

GTFOH!

But before I can bounce, I scent her—my fated mate—a human undercover agent who has no idea who or what I am. She thinks I’m just another macho a-shole with no respect for women in her male-dominated world, and not the hero of the story.

Worse, my brother claims her in front of the real bad guys, which fills my cat with a feral rage.

I can’t walk away from her or this mission, but I might not get a choice if my brother and I can’t hash out our past and get along.

How do I get to know, claim, and protect what’s mine when she has no idea why I’m really here?

She has a job to do: take down the human trafficking organization run by billionaires and corrupt politicians embedded deep in our government. I’m here to help her, but I’m really here to rescue shifter children before our secrets are discovered. My brother says he wants her, but I know he just doesn’t want me to have her.

He’s the one shifter I can’t admit my truth to because he’ll use it to destroy me.

If I can’t claim and mark my mate in the short time the Fates give me, I’ll have to make a choice no shifter wants to make—me or my cat.

The shifters of SpecOps Sierra are a rare breed. Recruited for their strength, stamina, and telepathic abilities, they left their packs to join this elite military unit. Now contractors-for-hire, instead of moving home, our veterans settle in a small town in northern Montana to start the next chapter of their lives. Work keeps them busy until they scent their fated mates, then their mission becomes singularly focused: do whatever it takes to claim, mark, and bond with the one forbidden female of their bear, wolf, or cougar's dreams.

Cocky Cougar is Book 2 of theFated Mates of SpecOps Sierra series. It's a steamy, instalove, fated mates, girl gets her cougar shifter romance. Doralee is an agent with DHS. She's smart and sassy and tired of having to prove herself in a man's world. Cricket is a hunky, ex-military man who contracts now for SpecOps. He's also a cocky, cougar shifter. When he is brought in to work with his estranged twin brother, Crash, to bring down a human trafficking ring, he meets Doralee and knows immediately that she is his fated mate. OMG, the chemistry between these two was pure fire! I hated Crash at first, but I am glad they brothers found their way back to each other. We got an amazing HEA after a lot of danger and drama. I can't wait for the rest of this series!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love Cricket. He is a good person, a good brother to his found family and a good man who believes in doing the right thing. I love that he doesn't try to run from his mate when he finds the one the fates gave him. I like that he learns and grows and listens to DoraLee and confronts his blood brother about their long standing issue. The action is good. The suspense is well written even if some things are easy to spot. The story is crafted in good form that is easy to read and flows smoothly and makes it a joy to read. I love the chemistry between DoraLee and Cricket. 4.5 stars. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed the story and loved watching the relationship between the main characters grow! It was great to see how the tension between the brothers was wrapped up nicely at the end. The male main character might come off as a bit cocky, but he really had a good heart. He truly believes that no one should be left behind, and that makes him really admirable!.
