Kari Cornell is a freelance writer and editor who lives in South Minneapolis with her husband and two young boys. When she's not working or spending time with her family, she loves to cook, tinker in the garden, knit, or run. She feels fortunate that she's been able to combine many of the activities she likes to do in her free time with her day job. Cornell is the author of several cookbooks for children, including Cooking the Turkish Way and Cooking the Indonesian Way. Brie Cohen is an award-winning photojournalist based in the Twin Cities. She has worked as a photojournalist for the Albert Lea Tribune and as a freelancer for The Associated Press. Her work has appeared places like the front page of USA Today and is the front cover of the twelfth edition of Mevlin Mencher’s News Reporting and Writing. Brie grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota, and graduated magna cum laude and with distinction with a Bachelors of Arts degree in visual journalism from the University of Minnesota. Brie lives in Northeast Minneapolis and enjoys running, playing soccer, hanging by the lakes, eating local food, picnics, keeping up with the art scene, and frolicking.
