About this ebook

One matchmaking event gone sideways. A dare gone wrong. And a very angry woman ready to throttle Seattle’s Most Eligible Bachelor.

Lucy couldn’t fathom how she let herself get talked into a matchmaking event in Seattle. But when the sweet, confident, and cocky match landed in front of her, her heart beat a little quicker, and dirty thoughts snuck into her normally subdued mind. The moment he smiled, she was done for.

Until he opened his mouth and confessed to something unthinkable. Within seconds, Lucy was reaching across the table to throttle him. The night went down in history as the worst matchmaking event…EVER.

The moment Shep met Lucy, he knew his life would never be the same. Except he’d done something absolutely ridiculous and lost the one and only shot he’d had with her.

It wasn’t until fate threw them together again when he thought he might actually have a chance. Except that his reputation as Seattle’s Most Eligible Bachelor only reignited Lucy’s distrust as her walls went up instantly.

But she came up with a plan, and it’s one Shep can’t say no to because at least he gets to spend one night with her before she says goodbye.

Typical love story of two souls so damage from their past issues they can't seem to get past of. Tainting whatever tentative relationships they dared to risk on and running away at the first sign of trouble. The female character was more flighty and cowardly than the confused embattled male. Though he is not without faults also, with him being the player that he was and having stupid and dumb friends that surrounds him all the time, it was pretty predictable. Reading through their journey and expecting the inevitable fallout, waiting for the impending doom about to happen, him getting his karma served, lessens the anticipation of happily ever afters. It was an interesting read overall.

I loved the book would definitely recommend it. I am glad that both Shep and Lucy learned and grew from their experiences as well as healed before finding their way back to one another. Love is not always easy or simple but it is worth fighting for. Looking forward to reading Danni story with maybe Brendon.

There's a lot of reasons not to trust in love. Especially if you're not a risk taker. But not trying leaves you stunted never reaching your full potential. Life has no guarantees, so be brave! The Author did a great job portraying the characters. It would have been harder to do, if either one of them hadn't been type A personalities that hadn't excelled in their chosen professions. Guess it's too hard to write about people who are working menial jobs? Simple souls are apparently boring. But what if being a simple soul in a menial job is a way to hide in plain sight. Many brilliant people who lived a childhood nightmare have. Boring is safe until it isn't! What kind of character keeps reinventing themselves?
