About this ebook

*This title has been re-edited into first person point of view, and has a new cover, but the story is the same.

They used to call me "Hattrick Hatcher" for the way I dominated on the ice. But since my trade to Alaska, I haven't been able to find the net, and my coach is running out of patience.

Meanwhile, the woman who's captured my heart is clear across the country, and my father won't stop meddling in my life.

When I fly to Boston to surprise Hailey, I'm the one left shocked. She moved out of her apartment, and I track her down working at a strip club—something she conveniently never mentioned during our long-distance calls.

Then I discover why—she's been hiding something that will forever change both our futures.

She doesn't believe I'm capable of stepping up when it matters, but I'm determined to prove her wrong. I may be struggling on the ice, but this is one goal I can't afford to miss.

Now I just need to convince her that what we have is worth fighting for.

This is book # 2 in the Alaska Blizzard series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Hailey has just come back from winning a Gold medal and going on tour. She gets home and has many surprises in store. A couple of these surprises are going to change her life completely. Kane wants to see Hailey again. They met at the Olympics and he was so proud of her winning gold. They have had a couple great dates up to now and the chemistry between them is so hot it should have caught him on fire! He is hoping he can talk her into being with him for a while. This is a book with the heat turned up. Right from the start you see this couple hot for one another and have much in common, including hockey. The banter is good, the pace is a little fast, but the overall story is right on. ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

I really enjoy Kat Mizera's hockey romances. This is the second book in the Alaska Blizzard series. I was hooked right from the beginning and I could hardly put it down. I really liked Hailey and Kane. My heat went out to both characters, but especially Hailey because the path she thought her life was on gets turned upside down. They say things happen for a reason and Hailey's going to see maybe this new path is the one she's meant to be on. What really worked for me is the chemistry between the characters. It was really great, but I could also feel the connection between them. I also like revisiting the couple from the first book. See how they are enjoying their HEA. Can't wait for more from this series.

With these kind of situations, which is inevitable if you're dating and having sex, accidents happen and one must live with what fate dealts you. Self goals and achievements are temporarily set aside to focus on what is good for the child. She's very lucky, she had a partner who goes all in, in supporting her for whatever she goes through. Not all single women who have unplanned pregnancies has that. If she had wanted to be a lawyer really bad, she should have refrained from being so sexual and focus her energies on being all that she wanted to be professionally. It's normal to be scared, even married ladies are scared and excited about pregnancies. What matters is the unfaltering support system you have when the unexpected happens.
