It's almost chick-lit, but from the boy’s point of view. It gets into the darker side of different people’s lives away from school or work. I liked the occasional brutal honesty. I did think that the book got a little bit too dark at times. The ending felt cut off as well. There should have been more of a resolution. And I think it is a little unrealistic, but not everyone will agree. Sway is great if you don't mind the PG-13 parts. It's not sugar-coated and perfect, but it does have a happy ending.

Kat Spears has worked as a bartender, museum director, housekeeper, park ranger, business manager, and painter (not the artistic kind). She holds an M.A. in anthropology, which has helped to advance her bartending career. She lives in Richmond, Virginia with her three freeloading kids. Sway is her debut novel.
