This is book 6 of Kathryn Shay’s Wounded Heroes Redemption series. Pax Barry was a cocky surgeon until he made a mistake that cost him his career. Jackson Kane offers him a second chance opening a free clinic. Pax is excited for this new venture until he meets his security guard, the beautiful Stephanie Giordano. After a few initial hurdles the sparks start to fly. Stephanie and a stray dog teach Pax how to love again.

This story has good characters and a good storyline. This is a nice addition to the Series. This is a nice quick read with interesting characters in a dialogue driven plot. Each of the characters has something that they need to personally come to terms with in their lives in order to actually move forward and have a less guilt-ridden life.
