Where You Least Expect

Basically, everybody in her life treats her like she's not worth anything, he constantly tells her she is worthy, then he treats her like she is worthless in front of his friends, and even makes fun of her to her face. Then he apologizes after to her alone, and she finally accepts his apology. What does that truly state about her self-worth?! She deserved someone that truly cared and respected her regardless of whether they were in a public or a private setting. He really needed to grow up and not act like he was in junior high due to his friends opinion. The ending was bad because she just accepted that she was not worthy of someone who actually valued her as a person.

A good relational love story, real with enough humor to lighten without sloppiness.

Characters were a little too much in the beginning. Rough and gruff ex Navy Seal and sassy and smart mouthed overweight neighbour. I stuck with it because the overall story is filled with enough emotion and angst on both parts. Excellent writting that pierces the heart of the reader.
