Um þessa rafbók

In this charming romance from the author of Anne of Green Gables, a bachelor finds love with a sheltered young woman on Prince Edward Island.

A recent college graduate, Eric Marshall has just about everything a young man could want. And despite his good looks, charm, and wealth, he hasn't shown much interest in romance. Taking a temporary job as a substitute teacher on Prince Edward Island seems like the perfect way to pass the time before he joins his family's business. But while island life is an agreeable escape, Eric is about to find out how life-changing it can be.

Young, sweet, and beautiful Kilmeny Gordon has led a sheltered life due to an unfortunate disability: she cannot speak. When Eric encounters her playing the violin in a secluded orchard, what starts as an unexpected friendship soon blossoms into something much more. But even as Eric professes his love for Kilmeny, can she ever fit into his life once he leaves the island
