Merry Little Sugar Rush

I’m living my dream. Owning a cozy little bakery in downtown Snowflake Falls is everything I ever wanted. Even though the holidays are a hectic time of year, there’s nothing better than the feel of Christmas mixed with a bit of sugar.

When an unexpected visitor drops by to say hello, my entire world shifts on its axis. Burk Whitman was my best friend until, right before our first year of high school, he unexpectedly moved away. Now, he’s back in town and being around him isn’t exactly a hardship. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

The problem is, his time here is temporary and if I’m not careful, I risk losing my heart forever.

One phone call is all it takes for me to come back to Snowflake Falls. With my gramps in the hospital, a huge void is left at my family’s Christmas tree farm during their busiest time of year. Being here after fourteen years might be just what the doctor ordered.

When I hear my oldest friend, Joy Campbell, owns the bakery in town, I have to drop by to say hello. I’m ready to fall back into the familiar banter we once engaged in, but what I’m not expecting is to come face-to-face with the most beautiful woman in the world. Spending time with her isn’t a hardship, and soon, lines begin to blur.
