About the author

Lawson Wood is an underwater photographer and author known for his award-winning marine conservation work. Now with more than 16,000 dives logged in all of the world's oceans, he is the author and co-author of more than 50 books, mainly on the underwater world. Lawson is the founder of the first marine reserve in his native Scotland and a co-founder of the Marine Conservation Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
