This is the first book I've read written by Lexi Blake. There were a lot of characters, which made it hard to keep up with who was who at first. Although this can be read as a standalone, I do wish I had started at the beginning so that I could be invested in the characters as a whole. I'm also thinking there is an overall storyline in the series? I did settle in to where I didn't want to put the book down. The suspense was great! I want to go back to the beginning, the parents books, and then c

I could not wait to read No More Spies which is Kala Taggart and Cooper McKay ’s story and what a fantastic story it was. Their history is complicated but Cooper is determined to make up for the past and in doing so forge a future with Kala. The camaraderie, banter and interference from all their families, both blood and found, only added to the storyline and took this book to another level. This was a well written, romantic suspense story with a good balance of suspense and romance.

I loved finally getting Kala and Coop's story, but my word, it caused all the emotions. The preface at the beginning that Lexi put had me crying before the book even started. There are some really dark themes in this book, but they were handled with care. This story is beautifully written and has plenty of heat. Kala and Coop have such a history and it was so satisfying to see them finally get their HEA.
