About the author

Ligia Carvalho is an aspiring children's book author keen to transform her ideas into incredible stories every day. Born and raised in Brazil, Ligia Carvalho has been living abroad for many years (in Canada and USA). Holding a bachelor's degree in Mass (Social) Communication, the author also holds a certification in Business Writing and works as a Freelance Writer for several companies and clients worldwide.

Her first book, "Max Loves Cupcakes," was published in 2017. In 2018, she released her second book, "Grandma is a Star" - a book about grief for kids. In 2020 Ligia released her third book, "My dragon doesn't want to wear shoes."

Mother of three young boys, Ligia enjoys traveling, reading, and writing as much as she can.
