The big Yeti focused on the fire again, sparking the stones together to make a flame that caught onto the kindling. In minutes, he had a roaring fire that warmed me from the outside in. Now, I just needed him to warm me from the inside out.

He sat down on the seat, spreading his arms wide as if ready for a hug from a giant. Before me or him could change our minds, I hopped on his knee. I immediately relaxed as I put my cheek against his soft fur and breathed in his comforting smell. The smoke of the fire mixed in with his natural musk made a scent that was designed to make my arousal push high.

Jude let out a muffled sound that made me look up. He had his eyes closed, his lips firmly pressed together, and his hands up behind his head.

“Jude?” I asked, scared I might have done something wrong.

“Eden,” he said, my name a delicious sound on his lips.

He didn’t sound angry; he sounded more like he was constipated, as if he had to hold himself back from doing something that I was yearning for.
