About this ebook

"Wow!!!!! I love the story!! I was just going to read a few pages today and then couldn’t put the book down!!" - Goodreads Reviewer

Some wounds run deeper than the fractured earth. Some love is worth risking everything to heal them.

Two hundred years after the Shift, Luke O'Brien has spent his life hunting the sand-ravaged lands for the "drifters" who killed his father. When he's sent to negotiate an impossible peace, the last thing he expects is to be captured by Kaia—a fierce mountain warrior whose green eyes burn with a hatred he doesn't understand.

Kaia knows the soshos murdered her cousin Cole during one of their brutal raids, but she doesn't know which one pulled the trigger. As the sacred leader of her people, she should kill this enemy where he stands. Instead, she takes him prisoner, torn between the revenge that burns in her blood and the impossible peace her dying world desperately needs.

Forced to cross the unforgiving desert where water is sacred and sandstorms kill without warning, they discover truths that will challenge everything they believe. Luke isn't just another enemy—he might be the key to her people's survival. And Kaia isn't another "drifter"—she's the one person who could show him there's more to life than revenge.

But when devastating secrets surface, they have to face whether their growing bond can withstand the shattering truth.

Because in a world where trust is deadly and hope is scarce, some bonds are worth defying destiny itself. Even when the truth threatens to destroy everything.

Earth and Ember is a soul-stirring survival romance that weaves Indigenous wisdom with epic adventure and a love story that will leave you breathless. If you crave rich world-building and prose you can feel deep in your bones, this dystopian tale will stay with you long after the final page.

Swept away with a rich and action packed story What a fantastic addition to the Forgotten Lands series! I was swept away in this story, absolutely loved the native American tribes, with their culture and history, their love for nature and life enriching the plot. To me, this book is even better than Book 1. There is so much richness to the background of both main characters and the dangers of the world makes it fast paced and "un-put-downable". I am in love with Kaia and Luke! This book does not focus on Jo and Clayton but they do make cameos in the book, their participation is perfectly interwoven into the plot. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
