A salacious tale of the chief pimp of Golden Era Hollywood in the tradition of Hollywood Babylon and the like. Bowers' down-to earth writing style makes this an easy read, and makes even the more crazier stories seem believable. Though the book is a bit repetitious, Full Service transcends the gossip rag tone of other tell-all books and manages to be both engaging on a personal level while also delivering on the erotic titillating stories promised.

After watching Ryan Murphey's programme, Hollywood, made for Netflix I became intrigued if the non obvious household names were real people. To my surprise Scotty Bowers was the most interesting person reprised in the series. After reading this salacious memoir all the hints and small accounts embedded in the main story of Hollywood are true, and they are all beautifully told in this book. Yes, there is a lot of graphic detail in these human encounters, but Scotty tells it to you in such a way as if your chatting over drinks somewhere in an old Hollywood bar. It's full of nostalgia, truth, and secrets. It leaves you wanting so much more of old Hollywood that you wish you could time travel for a day to see it for yourself....or maybe thats just me. They don't make 'em like they used to.
