Ich ...«, begann Toth, doch jemand schob die Assistentin beiseite, und ein eher mickriger Dämon stand mit einem Mal vor ihm. Er war höchstens ein Meter sechzig groß, in einen schwarzen Umhang gehüllt und trug schwere schwarz glänzende Stiefel mit hohen Absätzen. Statt einem Kopf staken gleich drei aus dem Umhang heraus. Der mittlere war menschlich, der linke der eines schwarzen Katers und der rechte der einer warzigen Kröte. Ein summender Fliegenschwarm umschwirrte die Gestalt. »Herr Toth, darf ich eintreten?«, fragte der Menschenkopf mit süffisantem Lächeln. »Mein Name ist Zebub. Baalthasar Zebub ...«
