About this ebook

'A soul-shattering novel that will leave your emotions raw. This story will haunt me forever. Everyone should read it' Guardian

In a small town where everyone knows everyone, Emma O'Donovan is different. She is the special one - beautiful, popular, powerful. And she works hard to keep it that way.

Until that night . . .

Now, she's an embarrassment. Now, she's just a slut. Now, she is nothing.

And those pictures - those pictures that everyone has seen - mean she can never forget.

For fans of Caitlin Moran, Marian Keyes and Jodi Picoult.

BOOK OF THE YEAR AT THE IRISH BOOK AWARDS 2015. The award-winning, bestselling novel about the life-shattering impact of sexual assault, rape and how victims are treated.

I'm not sure loved it is the right phrase, but Louise O'Neill packs a vicious punch. Read in one sitting, my face is raw. We all know someone who has had an Emma-like experience, whether we know it or not. Perhaps the most harrowing thing is how very real O'Neill's spectacular writing feels.

As a mother to 3 daughters my eldest being 18 I was absolutely choked reading this.it was a true insight into the lives our kids have to deal with today with rape and social media. It should be a compulsory read in all schools and I know my lot will be reading it!well done Louise on a well written book.

Absolutely gripping, I could not put this book down. The way it is written is so realistic, you get a real sense of who the character is. Amazing.
