I originally started this series because I was looking for something to read after I finished the bookstore cozy mystery series with Lily and Gage so needed something to fill the void. This series did just that while also being unique. I loved the main characters in this book and enjoyed getting to see how their relationships developed across this book in comparison to the first one. I love this author. She never disappoints. Her characters are so rounded and have their own voices. The mysteries are well thought out. This had that element that I was hoping for from a sequel in the Dress Designer Cozy Mystery series. The mystery was so well done and worked with what I was expecting. The characters were so well done and worked in the world that was established. I really enjoyed the way Lucinda Race wrote this and am excited for more.
