I've followed this series for many years, reading, rereading, discussing, and caring a great deal about the characters. Lowcountry quickly became my favorite mystery series, and watching Gracie evolve over the course of 12 books and 3 novellas was a wonderful adventure and fulfilling experience. Gracie, Amelia, Mel, Will, Leo, Beau, and all of the Heron Creek gang feel like friends I will revisit time and again. Lyla did a wonderful job bringing Gracie home to Heron Creek. From the nearly alcoholic girl that parked askew in her grandfather's front yard when she arrived back in Heron Creek in Not Quite Dead to the woman who finally realizes family runs deeper than blood in Not Quite Buried, Gracie is both relatable and inspiring, and she will remain a favorite for life.

Perfect ending to the series. I will definitely miss Heron Creek, but the twist and turns made me want to dive into book one and start the adventure all over again.
