About the author
Marcel Proust nasce ad Auteuil nel 1871, da una famiglia dell’alta borghesia. Molto giovane inizia a frequentare i salotti letterari di Parigi, incontrando scrittori e artisti. Nel 1909 comincia a lavorare instancabilmente al suo capolavoro, i cui ultimi tre volumi verranno pubblicati solo dopo la sua morte, avvenuta il 18 novembre 1922.
