About this ebook

Betrayed by her FBI boss and nearly killed, Olivia Williams quits and joins Blackhawk Security. But when she runs into Jake Dunbar -- the agent who was supposed to have her back -- she demands answers.  Jake explains that their boss, Nelson, never gave him the backup assignment.

When Nelson sends Jake on a similar Bratva mission, suspicion turns to certainty – Nelson is dirty.  Secretly, Jake recruits Livvy as backup, and together they uncover a deadly plot -- one that marks them both for death.

With danger closing in, can they expose Nelson before he silences them?  And will they risk their hearts before it’s too late?

This has all the right elements: romance with just the right amount of passion & a touch of angst, complemented by an intriguing subplot that adds suspense & danger. However, I found some editing & continuity issues that kept it from being a 5-star read, including a major story thread left unfinished that I’m hoping will be resolved in the next book. Overall, it’s an enjoyable & engaging tale that I took great pleasure in reading, & I look forward to what’s coming next.
