love it. I found a couple later in the series, "dragons of spring dawning" I believe, and still own them today. Always wanted to dive into the origins of the twins.. What a great story. Looking forward to starting the next one.

I read this book years ago. And since then, Raistlen has been my favorite character out of all those in the Dragonlance Universe!!! I hope that Marharet Weis continues to write more stories about Raistlin.

Read this as a teen.... After reading the first Companion novels and wow. Incredible. Raistlin Majere is now my favorite fictional character of all time. Worth the read.

Margaret Weis is the author of numerous Dragonlance novels, including the Dragonlance Chronicles and Dragonlance Legends series, which she co-wrote with her frequent collaborator Tracy Hickman. Her solo projects include the New York Times–bestselling War of Souls trilogy and the Star of the Guardian novels. She is also the designer of many Dragonlance roleplaying products.
