About this ebook

This particularly striking book consists of published scientific articles emerging from the study of a specific cohort of patients in France, composed of children whose mothers were exposed during pregnancy to artificial hormones (estrogens and/or progestogens). Written by researchers in biology, pediatric-endocrinology, and psychiatry, it will make readers, and more specifically students, teachers and practitioners within the fields of medicine, aware of the deleterious somatic and psychiatric effects of these synthetic hormones thus providing a much-needed understanding of the harm they can cause. Furthermore, what is particularly striking and worrying is the multigenerational effect of such endocrine disruptors due to their epigenetic mode of action. Thus they constitute a real danger for future generations also. This book is an alarm call urging caution in the use of these products during and outside of pregnancy.
