In den letzten 100 Jahren haben Kirchen und ökumenische Bewegungen vielfältige Ansätze für Theologien der Migration entwickelt. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht solche Ansätze aus der römisch-katholischen Kirche, dem Ökumenischen Rat der Kirchen und der Lausanner Bewegung und entwirft davon ausgehend zeitgenössische ökumenische Positionen für eine Theologie der Migration im europäischen Kontext. Dabei stehen besonders Aspekte missionarischer Sendung, ökumenischer Begegnung und öffentlicher Theologie im Fokus der Arbeit. Die Studie bietet daher sowohl eine historische Einordnung von Theologien der Migration im globalen Christentum als auch theologische Impulse für heutige Debatten zu Migration in Theologie, Kirche und Gesellschaft.
