About the author

Maumita Chakraborty received her B.Tech. degree in information technology from University of Kalyani, India, and her M.E. degree in software engineering from Jadavpur University, India. She had worked as Software Engineer in Infosys Technologies Ltd. and then as Associate System Engineer in Praxis Softek Solutions Pvt. Ltd. After pursuing her master’s degree, she had also worked as Research Engineer in Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Maumita received her Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from University of Calcutta. She had worked for more than 12 years in Institute of Engineering and Management Kolkata. Currently she is acting as Professor and Head for the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology in University of Engineering and Management Kolkata. Her major research interests include graph theory and its applications, data structure and algorithms, networking, mobile computing, and many more. She is having her publications in several reputed journals of IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, etc.

Weiping Ding (M’16-SM’19) received the Ph.D. degree in computer science, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, China, in 2013. From 2014 to 2015, he is Postdoctoral Researcher at the Brain Research Center, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. In 2016, he was Visiting Scholar at National University of Singapore, Singapore. From 2017 to 2018, he was Visiting Professor at University of Technology Sydney, Ultimo, NSW, Australia. Now he is professor of School of Information Science and Technology, Nantong University, China. His research interests include deep neural networks, multimodal machine learning, and medical image analysis. He has published over 200 articles, including over 90 IEEE journal papers. His fifteen authored/co-authored papers have been selected as ESI highly cited papers. He has co-authored four books. He holds 27 approved invention patents, including one US patent and one Australian patent. He is Leading Guest Editor of special issues in several prestigious journals.

Dr. Shouvik Chakraborty is Lecturer in computer science and technology and In-Charge, machine intelligence and computer vision laboratory, Women's Polytechnic, Chandernagore, Govt. of West Bengal. He is Former Lecturer in computer science and technology, Former In-Charge, robotics and innovation laboratory (eYLSI), and Former Internal Coordinator of the Burdwan Regional Office, Directorate of Vocational Education and Training at M.B.C. Institute of Engineering & Technology (Government of West Bengal), Purba Bardhaman, Sadhanpur. He received Ph.D. (Former DST INSPIRE Fellow) in computer science and engineering from the department of computer science and engineering, University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India. He received his M.Tech. in computer science and engineering from the same university, in 2016. He received his B.Tech. in computer science and engineering from Hooghly Engineering & Technology College, West Bengal, India, in 2014. He is Life Member of the Institute of Scholars (InSc), India.
