A la rigueur, étant né en France, je me serais accommodé d’un aimable nom français, un nom comme celui de ma sœur : Ronronnette, oui, c’est charmant. Mais Pussy, voyons, franchement... Pussy, puceux, moi Qui suis la propreté même ! C’est la seule chose qui me plaise dans ce portrait. Il me trahit, il ne me donne pas l’air intelligent, mais il montre Que je suis soigneux, attentif à ma toilette. En regardant de près, on voit Que j’ai la langue râpeuse comme un gant de crin, une vraie langue de Garçon-chat.
