The story continues to keep us pulled into the lives of Mackenzie and Vincent. The past has reared its ugly head and Vincent is trying to keep her in his life. The story keeps you turning the pages with betrayal, danger and drama. The story ends on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait for the next book. This intriguing story keeps you glued to the drama of Vincent and Mackenzie. She takes a job as his assistant and becomes so much more. As their relationship spirals into something else, things come to a holt when Vincent's wife makes an appearance which begins the downward turn for Mackenzie because she has doubts about Vincent. As his past makes an entrance Mackenzie doesn't know what to expect and if she can trust Vincent. Will their relationship get back on track and do they have what it takes to get a chance for a happily ever after? This story continues on from the first book and gives us more twists and turns and heartbreak. I felt for Mackenzie even though I knew Vincent wanted her. It's not always easy and the story takes us on their journey and the lies and secrets keeping them apart. It does end on another cliffhanger and left me on edge waiting for the next book.
