About this ebook

Her father’s secret could build an empire... or dig her grave.

With four ruthless killers on her trail.

The vast South African plains offer nowhere left to hide.

On the sun-scorched veld near Kimberley, a desperate race against death has begun. Miemsie Bouwer, a beautiful and tenacious young woman, flees a gang of cutthroats, clutching a discovery that could change the destiny of the unforgiving frontier. But the men hunting her are as merciless as the land itself, and they are closing in fast.

Led by the cruel Mertel Duvenage, the bandits believe the prize is in her leather satchel. They don’t know the real treasure, a map to a priceless emerald mine, is hidden in the one thing they stole after leaving her for dead. In her saddle. If they decipher its secret, her aging father is their next target, and a lifetime of toil will be lost to blood and greed.

Her only hope appears in the form of a mysterious stranger, the rugged frontiersman Ryk Schoonraad. He’s a self-appointed lawman with a dark past and an unquenchable thirst for justice. But in a world where survival is a daily battle, can one man and a lone woman stand against a gang of killers who will stop at nothing to claim their prize?

A relentless, high-stakes game of cat and mouse plays out in this explosive thriller. Perfect for fans of classic pulp adventure, non-stop action and suspenseful westerns.
