Such an amazing book on psychology and the unknown. It grips you right off the bat and doesn't let go until the final page. This is the fastest book I've ever read, 4 days (I'm not a speed reader) and I absolutely loved the story from beginning to end. The mystery, the story, the discovery, the pride, the backstabbing, the danger, the understanding, and the ending. All adds up to a great book I recommend to all. The "monsters" are subdued and the ending makes you nod your head in understanding. This book is superior to Jurassic Park in my opinion. 4.9/5 all day!

This was an extremely engaging Sci-fi novel. I read it through in one sitting because I could not handle putting it down. The plot twists are on cue but not obvious. The characters are well developed. The action is terrifyingly vague while having enough detail to make it come to life. In short this book is a masterpiece.

I honestly found the book unfulfilling. I didn't think the story really delivered, and left me wanting more, and wanting to know more things. Over all is was a decent short read, but nothing special.

MICHAEL CRICHTON’s novels include The Andromeda Strain, The Great Train Robbery, Congo, Jurassic Park, Rising Sun, Disclosure, and The Lost World. He was as well the creator of the television series ER. Crichton died in 2008.
