Obwohl das Betriebssystem MS DOS als veraltet angesehen werden kann, war es doch ein sehr bedeutendes Betriebssystem und hat viele User in ihren Auseinandersetzungen mit dem Computer begleitet. Es war ein Single-User-System mit einem möglichen Task (also nicht multitaskingfähig) und mit vielen Ecken und Kanten. Trotzdem war es iin vielerlei Hinsicht wegweisend. Deshalb ihm zu Ehren noch ein Buch darüber.
