Action, aber immer ein Hauch Romantik: Die deutsche Autorin Michaela Annika Mann wird 1995 in Schwäbisch Hall geboren. Der Wunsch, Autorin zu werden, entsteht bereits während der Schulzeit, als sie ihre Leidenschaft für Bücher entdeckt. Mit ihrem Debütroman "Aftermath - Die Zeit danach", der dezent an "The Walking Dead" erinnert, erfüllt sie sich ihren Traum, doch sie gibt sich damit nicht zufrieden. Bereits kurze Zeit später arbeitet sie an einem neuen, mehrteiligen Werk und schlägt mit der "Soulless"-Reihe eine völlig neue Richtung im Bereich Fantasy-Romance ein.
