The authorย obtained his B.A. (1968), the M.A. and Ph. D. (1981- 1987) in Architecture. At present is a tenured researcher in the School of Architecture of UNAM (Meฬxico, City). He obtained the National Autonomous University of Mexico award in Architecture and Design (2000), and holds theย National Emeritus Researcherย distinction (National System of Researchers, SNI, Conahcyt), Mรฉxico.
He has devoted his time to research in the field of the geometry of perspective since the late 1960's. His main achievement is the method of perspective called, Modular Perspective. He is also the author of several works of architecture and urban design.
